Deanna Brenner, LSW
Deanna is a Licensed Social Worker who works with adolescents and adults across diverse backgrounds, identities, and life experiences. She is particularly passionate about supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community and enjoys helping clients navigate life transitions, identity exploration, and emotional challenges. With a warm, empathetic, and open-minded presence, Deanna fosters a therapeutic environment where clients feel safe, heard, and understood.
Deanna’s approach to therapy is collaborative and strengths-based, rooted in the belief that clients are the authors of their own stories. She works alongside clients to explore what brought them to therapy and helps them uncover tools and insights that support healing and personal growth. Whether addressing anxiety, stress, or relationship challenges, Deanna tailors her work to fit each client’s goals and preferences.
Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing, while also emphasizing the importance of self-care in and outside the therapy room. Her style is supportive and reflective, offering both space and guidance as clients work through obstacles and build on their existing strengths.
Deanna earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University at Buffalo and her Master’s in Social Work from The Ohio State University.
